The first "Bologna for Belize" fundraiser was held January 7 at the home of Rich and Natalie Tinsley and also hosted by Kevin and Kristy Greenwood. Everyone had a great time, enjoyed the fun and friendship. Kevin and Kristy leave January 15 for Belize and because of the generosity of those attending, will be able to plumbing and more to the home they're building for Hadiya Bevins, her children and elderly mother.
More than $6,000 has been raised for this event and we're keeping the attached donation page open until the end of the month!

The eighth annual Legacy Breakfast was held in Louisville, Kentucky at The Olmsted. Once again nearly 400 friends and supporters joined many new faces in celebrating the accomplishments of Hand in Hand. Arelys, a young Hand in Hand Scholarship student, travelled from Nicaragua to thank those attending for giving her a chance she would never otherwise have at a better life. Connie came from Appalachia to talk about how much more Hand in Hand has meant to her. Their stories left all attending with a new appreciation of how Hand in Hand makes a difference in the world.

Jamaica
An old friend of Hand in Hand Ministries, Arokiadass Arumainathan, whose English name is Rev. Francis, is operating St. Agnes School in Port Antonio, and HHM has been providing financial support to help with teacher's salaries. The school, which began as a chicken coop, is a typical Jamaican school: it is a mix of a church providing facilities and the government, the teachers.
Haiti
After the devastating earthquake last year, HHM began a partnership with Clean Water for the World, an organization already on the ground in Haiti. HHM has helped provide clean water for Cite de Soleil, one of the hardest hit areas.
